ECHO2D Version 4.0 Released

We’re pleased to announce the release of ECHO2D Version 4.0!

This release marks an important update of the ECHO2D package, with a renewed focus on usability, platform support, and long-term maintenance.

🔧 What’s New in Version 4.0

ECHO2D only: This release includes only the ECHO2D code.

ECHOz1 and ECHOz2: These codes are frozen at release 3.5 and are no longer supported.

New GUI: A new graphical user interface has been created for ECHO2D, making the code easier to use and more accessible.

New manual: A new manual is now available for ECHO2D.

Console and GUI versions: The ECHO2D package is available in both console and GUI versions.

Platform support: ECHO2D is compiled for macOS and Windows, with support for both Intel and ARM architectures.

Linux and MPI builds: Linux and MPI builds could be available on request.

This release is part of our ongoing effort to make ECHO2D easier to use, better documented, and more accessible across modern computing platforms.
